  2. Over Bank Holiday weekend, East End Gardener arrived at picturesque Spitalfields Farm, London. The farm has organised the annual Goat Race for the past four years to raise money for their excellent community farming and animal welfare projects. Tickets were £5, with free refreshments sponsored by Hendricks Gin.

  7. Here are the two contenders, resplendent in their uni stash. Both are Golden Guernsey goats, which the British Goat Society describe as “smaller than the British dairy breeds, fine boned, and generally quiet and docile”.

So the #goatrace at spitafields city farm was lots more fun than the #boatrace http://pic.twitter.com/oNFZ53EQ

  9. There were also some food stalls for hungry punters – we highly recommend Blintz Boy‘s pork and sauerkraut blintzes! Paul (aka Blintz Boy) sells his wares every weekend at Brockley Market.

  14. And they were off! The two goats may have been hampered by adverse weather conditions (goats do love a bit of running in the sun), but they were quickly enticed by a bucketful of tasty goat treats.
